Walden Catalyst Walden Catalyst was founded in 2021 by two semiconductor legends: Lip-Bu Tan (former Intel CEO and Cadence CEO) and Young Sohn (former Samsung President and Chief Strategy Officer). Fund I raised $601M, exceeding the $400M target. Between them, the founders have invested in 560+ startups with 115 IPOs, including an early Zoom investment.
