Decarbonization Partners is a New York-based joint venture between BlackRock and Temasek, launched in 2021. Fund I closed at $1.4bn, 40% above the $1bn target, on a $600M combined commitment from the two partners. Over 30 institutional LPs across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific participated. The strategy targets late-stage venture and early growth companies in carbon capture, next-generation energy, advanced mobility, low-carbon products, and battery materials. Portfolio includes Monolith, Ascend Elements, Group14, Antora, ConnectDER, and XNRGY.
