BioInnovation Institute (BII) The BioInnovation Institute was founded in 2017/2018 by the Novo Nordisk Foundation as a life science incubator in Copenhagen, and the scale of backing is extraordinary: a new DKK 5.5B (€736M) allocation for 2026-2035 will double capacity from 20 to 40 startups annually.
