BASF Venture Capital is the corporate venture arm of BASF, the world's largest chemicals group, founded in 2001 and based in Mannheim. The $250M evergreen fund has made 135 investments with 25 exits, run by a 14-person global team. Cheques of $1-5M target first rounds in CO2 mitigation, circular economy, advanced materials, biotech, AI, and digital agriculture. The fund also commits as LP to specialist vehicles including Climentum (climate), CM Venture (materials), and Longwater (chemistry).
