Alpine Space Ventures

Alpine Space Ventures is a Munich-based space deep-tech fund founded in 2020 by Bulent Altan, who spent 13 years at SpaceX leading avionics for Falcon, Dragon, and early Starlink. Fund I closed at €170M, around $199M, drawing on 20+ early SpaceX employees, the European Investment Fund, and the NATO Innovation Fund. Initial cheques run €10-20M across the space value chain, from components to satellites to services. The portfolio includes K2 Space, Reflex Aerospace, Northwood Space, Morpheus Space, and Blackwave.
